Minsk is an interesting city to visit as a two days trip. The first impression when coming here is that of an open air metropolis, quiet aired and very cleaned.
From the train station, one can see a big boulevard, with old buildings that just seemed to cry “the communism victory” from place to place. Everything is big, grandiose and in dark brown colors. It is a city where the criminality rate is quiet low as there are many soldiers, police men and officers on the streets. Apart from feeling safe, you will most certainly feel weird as well.
While it does not seem like it, it has many entertaining programs going on – let’s take for example the Belarusian cuisine in Minsk from the week of 16th – 22nd February. Around 27 catering outlets will take part in this project.
It is a initiative of the Central Office for Consumer Market of the Minsk city administration as well as the public association of Belarusian cooks Supolka Kukharau. It is a rule that the participants use the same projects and same prices and recipes.
Enjoy!
