Moscow is another part a Russia that is a must once you decide to get to know this country.
It is also known as the Third Rome, the White Stone or the First Throne and it is the financial, political and administrative center of Russia. It is the place where the red Square has its throne and the unique design of the Vasile Cathedral, the Kremlin’s walls and the magnificent Military Museum. It is a true city of sports, as one can see the Luzhniki, Lokomotiv, the Khodynka Central Hippodrome and many other places that are offered so that the Russians can practice sports. Anyhow, this is a city where you can find anything, from extravagance and luxury to poverty and terror.
Karelia has an important role in the actual geopolitical context. It is the Land of the Setting Sun like it is known among the Russians. It can be described as well like the Small Russian Finland. Forests cover hundreds of square kilometers and the land is surrounded by many swamps and wonderful natural rocks that are here since the early ages. Some of the biggest sweet water lakes are here – the well-known sister lakes – Ladoga and Onega. It is actually a big open space natural reservation.
A secret and isolated universe – Kamceatka, is a huge peninsula with endless forests, hot geysers, active volcanos and an original fauna. It is the biggest peninsula of Siberia and one of the biggest ones in the world. Despite all the nature wonders, many Russians do not know anything about this place. This is especially due to the fact that the distance to get to it is big and the hostile nature may endanger one’s life.
Enjoy!
