Torino is a nice place to travel during the winter holiday. If you love sightseeing and culture as well as architecture and like to discover something new, it’s a must.
Torino is a rather square city, as in the streets are perpendicular and it will be difficult for one to really get lost here. The streets are typically American but with the old beautiful buildings, almost French style ones. This time of the year, wherever you may look you see only white mountains, and you get that feeling of protection, as if mother nature protected and hug you. Looking at the high buildings, you will notice that they actually have gardens with all their meanings on the top of the buildings.
What you will surely notice here is the fact that it is very clean – it is truly Swiss – if you did not know that you are in Italy, you would not think it’s Italy here. Asking for a big ice-cream here it’s not a good idea as you may get one impossible to finish. There are some nice experiences and frightening at the same time – riding with the elevator to the Mole Antonelliana may prove to be quiet scary for those that are afraid of heights. The pavements are defined by the buildings and by the columns, therefore, whether you want to or not, you walk through the columns.
Arriving here is impossible to die of thirst as there are water dispensers all over the city and it’s no shame to drink water from them. Enjoy winter!
