This museum is located in Bavaria, Germany, in the Bad Oberdorf location, which belongs to the Oberallgäu district. For the culture, architecture and history passionate ones the entire area is a true cultural treasure; this, excepting the landscapes that permanently ask one to have the photo camera on you.
The museum is on the left side of the Ostrach River. To get to it, you should walk up to the Bad Oberdof and at the entrance you go to the right near the church, till you get to the Hirsch Hotel in the left and I the right one can see an info panel. Here you can see another street that crosses a field and in 10 minutes maximum you get to the Upper Mill Museum –as it is as well known. One ca as well choose the bus, but these are not ways of enjoying the beauty of the Alps or the tranquility that the Bad Oberdorf village offers you.
The museum is located in a historical building which was restored and has over 500 years old. In the back it has a playing ground and in front, a terrace. One can visit it from 10AM to 6PM and during Tuesdays it is closed. It actually is a convincing proof that there existed people here since the oldest times. At the entrance there are some information panels as well as some photo ones. You can see their traditional outfits, their white and black photos or sketches.
In the museum one can as well see some traditional furniture rooms and admire some costumes of the millers, a very nice drawing with a hunting scene and a collection of minerals and fossils from old times. Enjoy!
