Trasierra is a privately owned hotel picturesquely located in the Sierra Morena mountain range of Andalusia, just 80 km north of Seville. The house is a 16th century old structure and it stands in an aromatic garden surrounded by 3,000 acres of olive and orange groves and it was “designed for people who appreciate peace, good taste and comfort, delicious food and stunning unspoiled landscapes”. Located in one of Spain’s most beautiful places, Trasierra has all amenities of a small luxury hotel where the outside world seems to fade away and everything you need appears as if by magic in the heart of the wild and romantic southern Spain.
The restoration of the building was executed using local builders and traditional materials and craftsmanship and designed in a simple but charming style with white-washed walls, high ceilings, soft restful colors and unfussy decoration, giving the space a feeling of peace. The grandeur of the old fashioned country was created through the careful attention to details like the local stone floors and Spanish rush matting are cool in summer and cozy in winter. The furniture was either designed and made locally or shipped from England, creating a sense of style, comfort and authenticity.
