Kuala Lumpur has many things to offer therefore trying to stay here for at least one week will be a good decision. One can choose to visit the Lake Gardens Park, the New National Mosque, the Islamic Art Museum and as well try and do some shopping at Central Market.
The Lake Gardens Park is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and it is spread on almost 92 hectares, dating from 1888. You can easily spend an entire day here, surrounded by a lot of green and visit one of tens of attractions like the orchid’s gardens, the Planetarium, the Police Museum, the bucks reservation, the butterflies park and the birds park.
When entering the butterflies’ park you feel like you are in heaven. It is like nothing you have ever seen, many butterflies, many exotic flowers and a lot of green space. You will walk through the harsh smell flowers, the artesian fountains and the colored butterflies, which sit on your hair like some beautiful hair clips.
After these, one can see the birds’ park. Here there are many species that walk between your legs and you will see some birds that you have never seen before.
The Islamic Art museum was opened in 1998 and it will open your eyes towards the beauty of Islamic art. It has many collections that represent the presence of Islamic culture in Asia, China and India. You can therefore find jewelry, textiles and ceramics. Some of them have 700 years old. There are beautiful Asian prints such as Batik, old shawls from Kashmir region, floral blouses and many other motives clothes. Here you will understand that the architecture of the Petronas Towers has as main element inspired from the Islamic art – the 8 peaks star, mingled with a circle arc.
The Pasar Seni or the Central Market is the shopping area here that dates since 1888. Here you will find many sweets, spices, food, clothes, souvenirs shops and see the traditional style here. Enjoy!
