Greece is an incredible country that offers many possibilities for spending your free time. Some of them are locations not yet discovered by the tourists.
Even though it is rather small it splits between various holiday destinations and annually gathers tens of thousands of tourists all over the world. Here it is absolutely impossible for one not to find a destination that one enjoys a lot and feels like belonging to. Besides all the known destinations, there are a few that are not so known but just as beautiful.
The Keros Island is one of them. It is located north west of Amorgos and it is the biggest island of the Koufonisia group. It is in a mountain area and it does not have a harbor. Until recently it was not even inhabited. Here you will see exotic beaches with white sand and turquoise waters.
Another island is Lihadonisia. It is just across the Kamena Vourla, in Evia. It is a group of volcanic islands that makes you think you are in Caribbean. It appeared after a big earthquake thousands of years ago. Nobody lives here, as it is believed they are natural protected areas. However one can make short trips and explore.
The Vourvourou can be seen just 10 kilometers away from Sithonia. They are 9 in number and the biggest of them is called Diaporos. Due to the location the harbor is usually used for the fishermen, as a shelter.
The Kasos Island is situated between Crete and Karpathos. Anyhow, it was not touched by the touristic waves. It looks a lot like Rhodes and it is highly appreciated for the quality of the fish here and the local cheese.
