There are three words that best can describe Netherlands – green, bicycle and orange. How green Netherlands is you can notice even from the plane.
As soon as you get out of any city here you encounter big spaces of meadow that are of a light green, which lie across the highways. These are the ones that come to your sight immediately. Moreover, Netherlands wants that the image with cows on the green meadows be included on the UNESCO list of the World Patrimony, as being a typical Netherlands landscape.
As the majority of the meadows are crossed by small water channels, many birds come here on the field and one can see the swans, the gooses, the ducks, and the seagulls. Netherlands is mostly a plain country that goes well with the bicycle riding. All over the place one can find bicycles tracks, as they are keen bicycles riding fans.
The orange color of Holland is known all over the world. When they have reasons to be solidary with their compatriots they dress in orange and party together.
Keukenhof is one of the most visited places in Holland and one of the most beautiful parks in the world. It is opened just during spring time as the flowers there are spring flowers. From the park you can as well make some boat trips through the flower camps.
If you want to rest assured that you do not miss the Dutch windmills, the Kinderdijk is a good place to see more at the same time. It is located at 15 kilometers away from Rotterdam. UNESCO has 19 windmills that protects here, among which one can be visited as it was transformed into a museum.
If you want to see some charming sights you should visit Giethoorn. It is especially nice and the houses are charming and beautiful made gardens. This is the reason for which it is called the “Venice of Holland”.
