Having arrived to Cape Town the first thing anyone notices is the beautiful Table Mountain. This is a giant stone that rises above the city, which makes the tallest sky scrapers from the city look actually small.
Among the many attractions that one will be able to visit here there are the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront – a commercial and entertainment center, the Canal Walk, sand beaches and a wide variety of night clubs and restaurants. More important is the culture of this city that is caught in certain quartiers such as Bo-Kaap or Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela is known to have been kept a prisoner. Canal Walk Shopping Centre is one of the biggest shopping centers from South Africa and it has over 400 shops, including international brands.
Anyhow, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is the most visited shopping centers from South Africa. This is due to its privileged position, its architecture that combines the Victorian style with the African one, the art galleries that one can find inside it and the beautiful restaurants.
Then you can get to Cape Point Nature Reserve where you can walk with the cable railway and admire a beautiful landscape above the Atlantic Ocean. While you move to South towards Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, the earth straightens till you get to the top.
Going towards Simonstown you can take a short stop at the Boulders beach. Almost 3000 African penguins – known as jackass, can be seen here. If you are still in Cape Town you can make a particular tour through Cape Winelands. Here you will travel to the French Quarter of Franschhoek, the place where 300 years ago was the first wine made in this area. They are no less than the others and they will as well offer you antique things and an interesting collection of art and rare things, which you can purchase or just see.
