It is less probable that a person that has actively tens of thousands of kilometers of driving will dispute the fact that driving is one of the most relaxing things to do and one of the biggest human pleasures. Anyhow, to really feel the pleasure one has to have a nice and smooth road to circulate on. Therefore, there are those that dream at a perfect mountain road or at that straight highway that crosses the dessert or even the village roads that demand for your 100% concentration and focusing.
One can go into such a holiday in Col de Turini, located in the French Alps. Col de Turini is a mountain canyon located in the Southern France Alps. It is a part of the 32 kilometers long range of the Monte Carlo Rally World Championship. It is one of the most exciting and provocative trips on earth. At its highest peak, Col de Turini has 1607 meters altitude. To the north, the road starts with an amazing series of 180 degrees curves.
Australia is another location where one can test his driver’s skills and enjoy. The Great Ocean Road lays on a small section of the southern coast of Australia, on a distance of approximately 250 kilometers, between the towns of Torquay and Warrnambool. This road was built in 13 years time and was mainly made by the First World War soldiers. The road goes through regions of amazing beauties.
The most beautiful view on this road is the National Park of Port Campbell, which is surnamed “The 12 Apostles”. This name is given by the 12 rocks that are located at the shore of the ocean. You will most certainly want to pass through this road at least for 2 times – one for the thrill and the second time, for the view.
More to come …
